General Summary:

The Pricing Specialist's job is to help grow company revenue by helping our clients with researching and finding the best carrier and pricing options for their customers. We listen and respond to the needs and requests of our clients to come up with the best pricing recommendations for their customers. The qualified candidate will enjoy working in a team oriented, rapid learning environment where the focus is placed on helping our clients choose the right telecom solutions for their customers.  To ensure we remain best-in-class we provide continuous opportunities for on the-job training and education. This position is based in Hermosa Beach and reports to the Quotes Team Supervisor.

Pricinpal Duties and Responsibilites:

  • Prepare product and pricing proposals for our clients comparing multiple solutions and options based on the various requirements of the opportunity and whichever requirements are most important.
  • Provide customer service support and resolve pricing problems for existing and prospective agents and customers.
  • Learn and use specialized online pricing tools and the Sandler Portal in order to provide effective sales support.
  • Actively monitor and respond to our shared quotes mailbox within our 4-hour commitment guarantee.
  • Conduct bill audits and analysis for existing and prospective agents and customers.
  • Participate in our weekly Quote Team meetings
  • Be available to answer the phones during designated work hours.
  • Attend carrier training or webinars to learn specific products, services and procedures.
  • Special projects and other related duties as requested by management.

This is a non-exempt hourly position, with an hourly rate of $17.50 to $22.75 plus incentives. Salary varies based on candidate’s qualifications and experience.

As a key member of our sales team, the Sales Representative is responsible for helping to build our business by identifying, attracting and converting leads and prospects into agent-partners through Company’s indirect sales distribution model. This position collaborates closely with internal teams to ensure partner-agents are effectively onboarded and retained as well as represents the Company at networking and other industry related events. Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Attend and represent the Company at networking, events, and referral sources to source and attract new agent-partner leads as well as to network and develop relationships on behalf of the Company.
  • Proactively source, identify, follow up, track, monitor and convert viable agent-partner prospects into agent-partners and ultimately actively selling agent-partners. 
  • Negotiate agent-partner agreements with new and existing agent-partners. Identify and articulate the Company’s value proposition as compared to competitors. In collaboration with the SVP of Sales and Complex Solutions and Operations Teams, negotiate the most effective structure for agent-partner agreements.
  • Facilitate ongoing agent-partner account management by maintaining relationships post-conversion with agent-partners by providing support, information and guidance on providers and solutions within Company portfolio; research and recommend new opportunities and carriers as well as other improvements in helping them grow their business.
  • Manage and influence relationships with agent-partners and other individuals, as appropriate, toward achieving the overall objectives of the business and getting agent-partners to be active in selling with Company.
  • Proactively strengthen, enhance and protect the Company’s brand and reputation among its key audiences, including existing and potential agent-partners, carriers, and employees.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational training; reviewing professional publications, establishing a network, and benchmarking state of the art practices.
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing, Quotes, Partner Services, Commissions and Sales teams to provide strategic and operational perspective to ensure the cohesive management and coordination of the business’ daily operations and seamless partner-agent support across functions. 
  • Other related projects or duties as assigned.

  • Ability to travel up to 50% plus of the time.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Communications or a related area strongly preferred.
  • 0-1 years sales, customer service, marketing or a related area helpful. Previous experience in telecommunications or a related industry helpful but not required.
