Sandler Partners, one of the largest master agencies in the telecommunications brokerage and consulting industry, is seeking a Solutions Team Supervisor to join our team. The Solutions Team Supervisor is primarily responsible for the daily supervision of the supervision of the Solutions Team and their daily operations. This role ensures that the Company’s partners are provided with the highest level of customer service, advise, accuracy and follow through in researching, pricing and matching a wide variety of technical solutions for their clients. In addition to supervising the team, this position is responsible for handling customer service escalations as well as evaluating, recommending and implementing process improvements that will strengthen the operational efficiency and scalability of the Solutions operations.   This position requires specialized training, experience and knowledge and regularly exercises discretion in carrying out the duties associated with this role. This position is based in Hermosa Beach, California and reports to the Director of Partner Services.


Principal Duties and Responsibilites:

  • Supervise the Solutions Team, including scheduling, managing, coaching and providing performance goals and feedback.  Hire, train and orient new team members.  Ensure customer service timeliness and accuracy standards are developed and adhered to.
  • Manage opportunity escalations, ensuring issues and conflicts are addressed in a timely and effective manner.  Ensure that management and other team members are engaged or apprised of issues as appropriate.
  • Work with partners to provide pricing proposals, contract generation, order submission, installation provisioning and post-sales support based on the requirements of the opportunity. Tier 1-4 “quote work”.
  • Remain informed on the rapidly changing telecom industry.  Proactively engage with carriers, agents and other partners to learn and stay abreast of new technology, pricing strategies and practices. 
  • Determine areas for improvement in efficiency and/or scalability of the Solutions operations.  Evaluate and make recommendations for innovative enhancements to operations, training or work processes.
  • Develop and conduct regularly scheduled weekly and monthly team meetings.
  • Other related projects and duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Operations, or a related area strongly preferred. 
  • 3 years previous experience in a technology, customer service, sales, pricing, operations, administrative or other closely related field, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role required.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, including the demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment and productively resolve conflicts.
  • Must be able to effectively manage, strategize and prioritize a large and complex workload, including the ability to parse and delegate work for maximum efficiency and responsiveness.
  • Demonstrated ability to select, motivate and provide supervision and training to a team of high performing professionals.
  • Excellent customer service, time management and team building skills with the ability to effectively address and resolve agent and carrier concerns and issues in a timely and diplomatic manner.
  • Must be detail, process and quality oriented.  Possess strong organizational skills including excellent research, problem solving and analytical skills.  Previous experience with high level data analysis, project management and process improvement a plus.   
  • Must be motivated by working in a high energy sales environment with the ability to do independent as well as team planning and goal setting.
  • Needs well developed skills in Microsoft Office and other Windows-based or Mac computer applications.  Must demonstrate high proficiency and experience with Excel.  
  • Must be able to keep calm and perform in high pressure atmosphere.
  • High level of integrity and discretion with an ability to responsibly handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Must be available during work hours to answer general inbound phone calls.
  • Must be available to travel for Company sponsored events, meetings and other business-related activities. (approx. 10% a year)

The primary responsibility of the Content Developer/Copywriter is to develop and create concise, eye-catching and innovative marketing content for digital media, print, blogs, guides, websites, and other forms we use to engage with partners, carriers and others with whom we do business. Responsibilities include conducting research on industry-related topics, generating ideas for new content, and developing and proofreading content before publication. The focus is on quickly producing and delivering content that engages our audiences and increases brand awareness.


Major Responsibilites Include:

  • Creating concise, eye-catching and innovative headlines and body copy that engages our target audiences and promotes our brand.
  • Researching industry-related topics (combining online sources, interviews, studies, etc.) and organizing facts and sources into engaging messages.
  • Brainstorming and collaborating closely with leadership, marketing, design and our knowledge teams to capture new ideas, strategies, feedback and edits. Identifying gaps in our content and recommending new topics.
  • Preparing well-structured drafts for review and approval; proofreading and editing messages in preparation for publication. Assisting leadership with producing content for presentations, training and other related communications.
  • Providing ideas on ways to further promote content on social media. Collaborating with our knowledge team to update website content as needed.
  • Ensuring all-around consistency in messaging (style, fonts, messages and tone).

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required with an emphasis in Marketing, English, Journalism or a related field strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years previous work experience as a content writer, copywriter, editor or similar role. Previous experience producing online content required.
  • Previous experience in the telecommunications or a related industry helpful but not required.
  • Demonstrated experience performing research using multiple sources.

Competencies and Skills:

  • Demonstrated ability to quickly grasp and translate complex ideas into concise content that can engage a wide variety of audiences.
  • Highly organized, detail oriented, with a demonstrated ability to rapidly produce viable content and messaging for our target audiences.
  • Superior writing and editing skills in English. A command of English grammar, spelling and sentence construction is essential, as is a wide vocabulary.
  • Excellent verbal and listening communication skills. Must have the ability to objectively work with many types of people, including difficult personalities and individuals with varying business experience and backgrounds, as well as engage and represent different points of view.
  • Well-developed skills in Microsoft Office Suite and other Windows-based or Mac computer applications. Hands-on experience with Content Management Systems (i.e., WordPress) required.
  • The ability to accurately proofread work.
